After a full week with 4th and 5th graders brainstorming about Peace, we created an amazing word list which I posted onto Wordle. Take a look!

All the words serve as inspiration for our Pinwheels for Peace 2009 project.
Where there is peace, there is culture; where there is culture, there is peace. ~Nicholas Roerich
Positive creativeness is the fundamental quality of the human spirit. Let us welcome all those who, surmounting personal difficulties, propel their spirits to the task of peaceBuilding, thus ensuring a radiant future. ~Nicholas Roerich
It has been a great and powerful week so far in the Fine Arts Studio, as we are focusing on the words about Peace for our Pinwheels for Peace project. What does Peace look like? What does it feel like? How do people treat each other in Peace? Finally, how do we create Peace?
It was an exciting first week in the Studio last week. We brainstormed all the words we could that relate to Art, Music and Theatre. Then, using Wordle, created word clouds that are amazing! Each class has its own and the links will be added to the webpage as well as here for our first opportunity to blog back and forth. I encourage all families to explore the webpages and links that are provided. There is a world to explore via the internet in a safe and responsible manner.
